There is currently no international law that holds individuals and corporates to account for destruction to the environment, whether that be from chemical pollution that renders soil infertile, pollution of drinking water, deforestation, or air pollution, and other abuses of our planet besides. This renders many individuals and group impotent to stop the greed and land grabbing exploits that are frequently used by powerful companies, taking away the wealth of the land and giving nothing in return except a wake of waste.
